predominantly; the Russian nobility, which has absorbed only a little Mongolian blood, still bears the Mongolian type today. Among my like-minded companions is a Russian nobleman who, like all genuine Russian boyars, betrays his Mongolian descent through his physique, but his Indo-Germanic descent through his spirit. This friend married a Polish Jewess and had many sons with her, all of whom have a strikingly Jewish type.
You see, dear friend, that it is of no use to the Jewish men and women to deny their descent through baptism and submersion into the great sea of the Indo-Germanic and Mongolian tribes. The Jewish type is indestructible. It is also unmistakable. — Even in its noblest representatives, where it is scarcely distinguishable from the ancient Greek type, and far surpasses it in soulful expression as well as in moral gravity, it remains for the connoisseur a clear seal, upon which the coat of arms of the oldest nobility of the world-historical peoples is embossed. — Thus I was not a little surprised when, during my journey through Antwerp, I showed the beautiful photographic image known to you to an art connoisseur, who could not admire enough the ideal figure that would have done honor to the master hand of a Phidias, and finally, as if a light had suddenly dawned on him, exclaimed loudly: I bet that is a Jewess!
The Jewish race, which is scattered throughout the world, has more than any other the ability to acclimatize itself in all latitudes. Just as the fatherland of the Jews, Palestine, produces southern and northern natural products, so too does the people of this intermediate climate seem to thrive under all skies. — A French physician, Dr. Gallavardin, has established this physiological phenomenon with statistical evidence in his work Position des juifs dans le monde.

Unter meinen Gesinnungsgenossen befindet sich ein russischer Adeliger, der, wie alle ächt russischen Bojaren, seine mongolische Abstammung durch seine Gestalt, seine indogermanische dagegen durch seinen Geist verräth. Dieser Freund hat eine polnische Jüdin geheirathet und mit ihr viele Söhne bekommen, welche sämmtlich einen auffallend jüdischen Typus haben. Sie sehen, verehrte Freundin, daß es den Juden und Jüdinnen nichts hilft, durch Taufen und Untertauchen in das große Meer der indogermanischen und mongolischen Stämme ihre Abstammung zu verleugnen. Der jüdische Typus ist unvertilgbar. Er ist auch unverkennbar. — Selbst in seinen edelsten Repräsentanten, wo er sich kaum vom antik gnechischen unterscheidet, und denselben an Seelenausdruck wie an sittlichem Emste weit übertnfft, bleibt er für den Kenner ein deutliches Siegel, auf dem das Wappen des ältesten Adels der welthistonschen Völker geprägt ist. — So war ich nicht wenig überrascht, als ich bei meiner Reise durch Antwerpen das Ihnen bekannte schöne photographische Bild einem Kunstkenner zeigte, welcher die ideale Gestalt, die der Meisterhand eines Phidias zur Ehre gereicht haben würde, nicht genug bewundem konnte und schließlich, als ob ihm plötzlich ein Licht aufginge, laut ausnef: Ich wette, das ist eine Jüdin! Die jüdische Race, welche in der ganzen Welt zerstreut ist, hat mehr als irgend eine andere, die Fähigkeit, sich unter allen Breitegraden zu acdimatisiren. Wie das Vaterland der Juden, Palästina, südliche und nordische Naturprodukte erzeugt, so scheint auch das Volk dieses mittleren Klimas unter allen Himmelsstnchen zu gedeihen. — Ein französischer Arzt, Dr. Gallavardin, hat dieses physiologische Phänomen in seinem Werke Position des juifs dans le monde durch statistische Belege festgestellt.
