Note VI.
In their religious practice, the Greeks sanctified perfected, self-contained, harmonious nature, not the process of becoming, not Genesis. Man, too, was here deified as a perfected organization, as the pinnacle of organic life, not as the bearer of a new sphere of life, not as the spiritual, moral, social being understood in its origin and development, as later actually occurred in Christianity, which arose from the Jewish cult of history.
— The Jews, conversely, celebrated history, the process of becoming, the cult of Him who is already expressed in His name as "Past, Present and Future."
— Even the cosmic and organic sphere of life, which in the present world age are perfected and concluded, were not included in the Bible as an eternal, self-contained cycle, but as Genesis, which begins with the creation of the world and the Sabbath of nature in order to prophetically encompass the entire historical development of mankind with its Sabbath of history.
— The tendency to recognize God in history, and indeed not only in the history of mankind, but also in the history of cosmic and organic life, is an essentially Jewish intellectual orientation.

Bei dem Naturstudium dagegen
