If we want to determine the racial value of the Jews, then we must measure it against something. Now, by all race theorists, the Aryan race and specifically its Germanic family is considered the most culturally valuable race. This object of comparison is therefore the most suitable.
It is therefore a matter of ascertaining whether the Jews and their racial components are inferior to the Indo-Germans. For this purpose, it is necessary, firstly, to determine the cultural value of the Jewish race and of the larger overall race that includes it through historical and anthropological investigations, and secondly, through the same investigation, to correct a possible overestimation of the cultural value of the Aryans, or the Germans respectively.
Let us begin with the second point. For we do not at all agree with the valuation as it proceeds from the race theorists. If we choose the cultural value of the Indo-Germanic race as an object of comparison, we must first ask ourselves: Is there even an Indo- Germanic race at all?
According to the prevailing supposition, which is taught in all schools as truth and is believed by the entire educated world, though no longer by the anthropological special researchers, the Celtic-Slavic-Germanic group, together with the Southern European Italics and Hellenes, and even with the Asian Armenians, Iranians, and Indians, represents an anthropologically uniform basic race, the Indo-Germans or Aryans.
But let us hear what, for example, Professor v. Luschan, the director of the Berlin Anthropological Museum, an admittedly unbiased researcher, says about it:
“The Indo-Germanic language family does not correspond to an Aryan race, and the peoples who speak Indo-Germanic languages today belong to very numerous and among themselves completely different races. 5 Eigenschaften und zu dem Völkertypus der anderen hervorregen- den Rassen ergeben. Wollen wir den Rassenwert der Juden bestimmen, so müssen wir ihn an irgend etwas messen. Nun wird von allen Rassentheoretikem die ansche Rasse und speziell deren germanische Familie als die kulturell wertvollste Rasse an- gesehen. Dieses Vergleichsobjekt ist also das geeignetste. Es handelt sich demnach darum, zu eruieren, ob die Juden und ihre Rassenkomponenten den Indogermanen infenor sind. Zu diesem Behuse ist es nötig, erstens durch histonsche und anthropologische Untersuchungen den Kulturwert der jüdischen und der großen sie einschließenden Gesamtrasse festzustellen, zweitens, durch die gleiche Untersuchung eine eventuelle Über- schätzung des Kulturwertes der Aner, respektive der Germanen zu korngieren. Beginnen wir mit dem zweiten Punkte. Denn wir sind mit der Wertung, wie sie von den Rassentheoretikem ausgeht, durch- aus nicht einverstanden. Wenn wir den Kulturwert der indo- germanischen Rasse als Vergleichsobjekt wählen, so müssen wir uns zuerst fragen: Gibt es überhaupt eine indo- germanische Rasse? Nach der herrschenden Supposition, die an allen Schulen als Wahrheit gelehrt und von der gesamten gebildeten Welt, wenn auch nicht mehr von den anthropologischen Spezialforschem, ge- glaubt wird, stellt die keltisch-slawisch-germanische Gruppe zu- sammen mit den südeuropäischen Italem und Hellenen, ja mit den asiatischen Armeniem, Iraniem und Indiem eine anthro- pologisch einheitliche Grundrasse dar, die Indogermanen oder Aner. Hören wir aber, was zum Beispiel Professor v. Luschan, der Direktor des Berliner anthropologischen Museums, ein an- erkannt unbeeinflußter Forscher, darüber sagt: „Der indogermanischen Sprachfamilie entspncht keine ansche Rasse, und die Völker, die heute indogermanische Sprachen reden, gehören sehr zahlreichen und untereinander völlig verschiedenen Rassen an.
