This easily leads to a false judgment to the detriment of Christians, because they as a whole receive a much lower level of school education than the Jews. But if one only compares the Jews and Christians with the same level of schooling, e.g., only those with a high school or academic education, this also does not give an accurate picture, because among the Jews, proportionally 8 to 10 times as many children attend the higher schools and the university as among the Christians, and this ratio naturally also has an influence on the level of talent. Among Christians, where only one in every 20 boys attends a higher school, the selection for school already plays a major role in the parental home: parents grant the benefit of a higher education only to the more talented children and maintain it for them permanently. Among the Jews, on the other hand, every child is sent to a higher school if possible; for them, attending a higher school is not the exception, but almost the rule. As a result of the lack of any selection on the part of Jewish parents, of course, many less talented children also end up in high school and university and lower the general intellectual standard of the Jews. These less talented children usually still achieve the educational goal and academic degrees, but they remain mediocre minds their whole lives. Where one of every two Jewish boys always attends high school, there must naturally be a large number of mediocrely talented individuals among the high-school-educated Jews, or the more gifted individuals would have to be cheaper among the Jews than blackberries. It actually already speaks for the above-average talent of the Jews that, despite sending a much larger contingent to the higher schools and universities and making no domestic selection for school according to the degree of talent, they nevertheless do not lag behind the Christians anywhere in school and university (Ruppin). Das ergibt leicht deshalb ein fal- sches Urteil zu Ungunsten der Chnsten, weil diese als Gesammt- heit eine weit genngere Schulbildung erhalten als die Juden. Nimmt man aber zum Vergleich nur die Juden und Chnsten mit gleicher Schulbildung, z. B. nur die gymnasial- oder aka- demischen Gebildeten, so gibt auch dies kein nchtiges Bild, weil bei den Juden verhältnismäßig 8 bis 10mal so viel Kinder die höheren Schulen und die Universität besuchen als bei den Chnsten und dies Verhältnis naturgemäß auch für das Niveau der Begabung von Einfluß ist. Bei den Chnsten, bei denen nur immer von 20 Knaben einer eine höhere Schule besucht, spielt die Auslese für die Schule schon im Eltemhause eine große Rolle: nur den begabteren Kindem wenden Eltem das Bene- ficum der höheren Schulbildung zu und erhalten es ihnen dauemd. Bei den Juden dagegen wird möglichst jedes Kind auf die höhere Schule geschickt; bei ihnen ist der Besuch der höheren Schule nicht die Ausnahme, sondem fast die Regel. Infolge des Fehlens jeder Auslese seitens der jüdischen Eltem kommen dann natürlich auch sehr viele schwächer be- gabte Kinder auf Gymnasium und Universität und drücken den allgemeinen geistigen Standard der Juden herab. Diese schwächer begabten Kinder erreichen meist zwar noch das Schulziel und akademische Grade, aber sie bleiben ihr Leben lang mittelmäßige Köpfe. Wo unter zwei jüdischen Knaben stets einer das Gymna- sium besucht, muß es natürlich unter den gymnasial gebildeten Juden eine große Zahl von mittelmäßig Begabten geben, oder die besser begabten Individuen müßten bei den Juden noch wohlfeiler als Brombeeren sein. Es spncht eigentlich schon für die überdurchschnittliche Begabung der Juden, daß sie, trotzdem sie ein viel größeres Kontingent auf die höheren Schulen und Universitäten senden und keine häusliche Auslese für die Schule nach dem Grade der Begabung treffen, doch auf Schule und Universität nirgends hinter den Chnsten zurückbleiben (Ruppin).
