144 That contrary to prevailing views, there is no anthropological difference between Ashkenazim and Sephardim, that the Jewish race contains no significant admixtures of other ethnic elements, that it thus constitutes a uniform racial body, which has for at least 2½ millennia been preserved in a pure state and therefore represents a genealogically homogeneous entity.
Furthermore, that contrary to prevailing views, it is incorrect to regard the Jews as a variant of homo Alpinus on the basis of craniological criteria. This view is impossible for the simple reason that this species does not even exist. Brachycephaly in those peoples with whom the Jews are identified is a consequence of mountain life; in themselves, it is a consequence of the most intensive intellectual activity. The Jews are, rather, a part of the melanochroic racial group.
- Regarding the Germanic peoples: That their identification with any alleged proto-Aryans is merely attributable to misinterpretation, arbitrariness, and falsification of history.
The basic race of the Germanic peoples, to which the Jews are compared for cultural capability, are the Xanthochroi; the basic race of the Jews themselves are the Me- lanochroi. According to the dogma of the race theorists, the aptitude quota and aptitude quality of every ethnic group are "innate" and therefore depend on the aptitude quota and aptitude quality of the ancestral race. Quite apart from the secondary political question of whether the Jews as a race are inferior to the Aryans, or, in a more modern version, to the Germanic peoples, we would therefore now have to—after eliminating the grave fundamental anthropological errors—undertake a juxtaposition between the cultural achievements of the Melanochroi and the cultural achievements of the Xanthochroi in order to address the general problem raised by the race theorists of the all-surpassing superiority of the Germanic peoples.
The achievements of the melanochroic peoples are: the cul- tures of the Sumero-Akkadians, the later Babylonians and As- syrians, the Persians, the Hittites, the Phoenicians, the Jews, the

144 Daß es im Gegensatz zu den herrschenden Anschauungen keinen anthropologischen Unterschied zwischen Aschkenasim und Sephardim gibt, daß die jüdische Rasse keine wesentlichen Beimischungen andersartiger ethnischer Elemente enthält, daß sie also einen einheitlichen Rassenkörper darstellt, der sich seit mindestens 2½ Jahrtausenden rein erhalten hat und daher genealogisch eine in sich homogene Einheit repräsentiert. Femer, daß im Gegensatz zu den herrschenden Anschauun- gen es unnchtig ist, die Juden auf Grundlage kraniologischer Kntenen als Spielart des homo Alpinus aufzufassen. Diese Auf- fassung ist schon deshalb unmöglich, weil diese Spezies gar nicht existiert. Die Brachycephalie ist bei denjenigen Völkem, mit denen die Juden identifiziert werden, Folge des Gebirgslebens, bei ihnen selbst Folge intensivster intellektueller Betätigung. Die Juden sind vielmehr ein Teil der melanochroen Rassen- gruppe. 2. *in Bezug auf die Germanen:* Daß ihre Identifizierung mit irgend welchen angeblichen Uranem bloß auf Mißdeutung, Willkür und Geschichts- klitterung zurückzuführen ist. Die Grundrasse der Germanen, welchen die Juden zum Vergleich der Kulturfähigkeit gegenüberstellt werden, sind die Xanthochroen, die Grundrasse der Juden selbst sind die Me- lanochroen. Nach dem Dogma der Rassentheoretiker sind Bega- bungsquote und Begabungsqualität jeder ethnischen Gruppe „an- gestammt“ und hängen daher von Begabungsquote und Bega- bungsqualität der Stammrasse ab. Ganz abgesehen von der poli- tischen Nebenfrage, ob die Juden als Rasse den Anem, oder nach modemerer Fassung den Germanen infenor sind, müßten wir daher zur Behandlung des von den Rassentheoretikem auf- geworfenen allgemeinen Problems der allüberragenden Supeno- ntät des Germanentums jetzt — nach Beseitigung der schweren anthropologischen Fundamentalirrtümer — eine Gegenstellung vomehmen zwischen den Kulturleistungen der Melanochroen und den Kulturleistungen der Xanthochroen.
