So they believe that if peace reigns in the land, the Jews will return and be concentrated; they are welcome guests among the Arabs, partners, and even leaders in every public matter; but culturally or economically they are distinct from others — in the economic sense, the Jews will be engaged in the land and not just in their own national economy, as is the case now, but in the entire surrounding body of the land. Through their labor they earn money, and at the same time, life bears a "national" character. They speak Hebrew, there is literature and a multi-cultural custom, and the state relates to the holy tongue and to their communal reception as a cherished child, and not as a stepchild, as is the case now. Moreover: the land grows richer and richer. For the supporters of Small Zionism see the vision of all "Jungdal" in the Jews helping to place the Land of Israel at the head of the entire East. And so let us imagine that it will be so: a rich land for happy Jews, living in peace and with an expansive national life, — to the extent that there is no other land like it. And in addition, it is called "the National Home". What will be the attitude of the rest of the Jews to this kind of paradise, — the attitude of those who are not in paradise, but quite the opposite?

Clearly: the attitude will be very simple — they will ask and demand to be allowed into paradise as well. Of course, not all at once; but — that a place be prepared for them. In short: to the extent that the experiment of Small Zionism succeeds, the aspiration to move from the Diaspora to the Land of Israel will grow. Today, the Land of Israel attracts the Jew somewhat, almost as a spiritual matter; it promises neither economic happiness nor political tranquility; on the contrary — it demands, that it will likely cost him in sacrifices. And yet — if the foundations were to change, the Jews would stream in multitudes. But when the land truly becomes an absorptive refuge and also a rich land, that is to say, a land capable of absorbing many immigrants, then the number of Jews seeking to enter it will grow of its own accord. For every candidate for aliyah today, there will then be five, and probably even more. The call: "Let us enter the Hebrew National Home!" will then reach its full power and force.
