So the Jews in Susa gathered on the fourteenth day of the month of Adar and killed three hundred men in Susa ... The other Jews who lived in the king's provinces also gathered and defended their lives by taking revenge on their enemies and killing 75,000 (!) of their haters ... The Jews in Susa had gathered on both the thirteenth and the fourteenth of this month, so that they rested on the fifteenth and made it a day of feasting and joy (!). Esther 9:15-17. (In memory of these atrocities, the Jews celebrate the festival of Purim to this day!)
Anti-Jewish Voices of the New Testament

Jesus said: You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44/45.
There are many insubordinate people, who confuse the mind with empty talk, especially those of the circumcision; their mouths must be stopped; it is they who destroy whole houses with their improper teachings, for the sake of sordid gain (!)... Therefore deal with them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith and not get involved in Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn their backs on the truth ... They claim to know God and deny him by their deeds; they are an abomination, disobedient and unfit for any good work. Titus 1:10-16.
They (the Jews) do not please God and are contrary to all men. 1 Thess. 2:15.
The Talmud
How little the Jewish question is a merely religious question is proven by the Talmud ("Teaching") with its laws, some of which go far beyond the actual religious sphere. Admittedly, knowledge of the Talmud among western enlightened Jews is not very great; still, they generally know the significance of the Talmud and also a whole series of important Talmudic passages, as Jewish instruction also provides for the treatment of the Talmud1. The Jewish renewal movements (such as Zionism, etc.) are striving for a broader and deeper knowledge of the Talmud among

So versammelten sich die Juden zu Susa am vierzehnten Tage des Monats Adar und töteten in Susa dreihundert Mann ... Auch die übrigen Juden, die in den Provinzen des Königs wohnten, versammelten sich und verteidigten ihr Leben, indem sie sich an ihren Feinden rächten und unter ihren Hassern 75.000 (!) töteten ... Die Juden zu Susa hatten sich sowohl am dreizehnten als am vierzehnten dieses Monats versammelt, so daß sie am fünfzehnten ausruhten und diesen zu einem Tage der Gasterei und der Freude (!) machten. Esther 9, 15- 17. (Zum Andenken an diese Greuel feiern die Juden bis zum heutigen Tage das Purimfest!) Judengegnerische Stimmen des Neuen Testaments Wehe euch, ihr Schriftgelehrte und Pharisäer, ihr Heuchler, daß ihr Meer und Festland durchstreifet, um einen einzigen Proselyten zu machen; und wird er es, so macht ihr aus ihm einen Sohn der Hölle, zweimal so arg als ihr. Matth. 23, 15. Das Gesetz und die Propheten gehen bis Johannes; von da an wird die frohe Botschaft vom Reich Gottes verkündet. Luk. 16. 16. Jesus sagte: Nicht Moses hat euch das Brot vom Himmel gegeben, sondern mein Vater gibt euch das wahrhaftige Brot vom Himmel. Joh. 6, 32. Jesus sprach: Die Welt kann (!) euch (die Juden) nicht hassen; mich aber hasset sie, denn ich zeuge von ihr, daß ihre Werke böse sind. Joh. 7, 7. Jesus rief: Wahrhaftig ist der, der mich gesandt hat, den ihr nicht kennt. Joh. 7, 28. Jesus sagte: Ihr habt zum Vater den Teufel, und eures Vaters Gelüste wollt ihr vollbringen. Der war ein Menschenmörder von Anfang an, und ist nicht in der Wahrheit bestanden, weil keine Wahrheit in ihm ist. Wenn er die Lüge redet, redet er als seinem Eigentum, weil er ein Lügner ist und der Vater davon. Joh. 8, 44/45. Es gibt viele unbotmäßige Leute, die mit nichtigen Reden den Sinn verwirren, namentlich solche aus der Beschneidung; ihnen muß man den Mund stopfen; sie sind es, die ganze Häuser verstören mit ihren ungehörigen Lehren, um schnöden Gewinnes willen (!) ... Darum mache kurzen Prozeß mit ihnen, auf daß sie gesund werden im Glauben und sich nicht einlassen auf jüdische Fabeln und Gebote von Menschen, die der Wahrheit den Rücken wenden ... Sie behaupten, Gott zu kennen und verleugnen ihn mit der Tat; sie sind ein Greuel, ungehorsam und untauglich zu jedem guten Werke. Tit. 1, 10-16. Sie (die Juden) gefallen Gott nicht und sind allen Menschen zuwider. 1. Thess. 2, 15. Der Talmud Wie wenig die Judenfrage eine lediglich religiöse Frage ist, beweist der Talmud ("Lehre") mit seinen zum Teil weit über den eigentlich religiösen Bereich hinausgehenden Gesetzen. Allerdings ist die Kenntnis des Talmud unter den westlichen aufgeklärten Juden nicht sehr groß; immerhin kennen sie doch im allgemeinen die Bedeutung des Talmud und außerdem eine ganze Reihe wichtiger Talmudstellen, wie ja auch der jüdische Unterricht die Behandlung des Talmud vorsieht1. Die jüdischen Erneuerungsbewegungen (wie z. B. der Zionismus u. a.) bemühen sich um eine weiter und tiefer gehende Kenntnis des Talmud unter - 75 -
