"What speaks against the Jews, apart from the atavism and racial arrogance that alone already compel their unreserved rejection, is above all their internationality. It is not true that the German, French, English, Russian Jews feel themselves to be members of the country in which they live; as soon as it is possible, they act as sons of the Jewish nation, and thereby they are enemies of every European nation. Their declamations that it is otherwise are believed by no one. They are on the same level as the Jesuits and Social Democrats: they are without a fatherland. What speaks against them secondly is their mania for placing their countrymen wherever possible. Where one Jew gains a foothold, there are twenty Jews in a short time, and where there are twenty, they rule, because members of educated nations disdain the means used by the Jews without shame to acquire influence, because they are too considerate to speak their minds freely and do not possess the courage to act. What thirdly turns the world against them is their usury, the word usury taken in the broader sense. "It takes a heart as hard as crocodile skin not to feel pity for the poor, bled-dry Germans and - which is the same thing - not to hate the Jews, not to hate and despise those who - out of 'humanity!'

Was drittens die Welt gegen sie einnimmt, ist ihr Wucher, das Wort Wucher im weiteren Sinne genommen. "Es gehört ein Herz von der Härte der Krokodilhaut dazu, um mit den armen, ausgesogenen Deutschen nicht Mitleid zu empfinden und - was dasselbe ist - um die Juden nicht zu hassen, um diejenigen nicht zu hassen und zu verachten, die - aus 'Humanität!' - diesen Juden das Wort reden oder die zu feige sind, dies Ungeziefer zu zertreten. Mit Trichinen und Bazillen wird nicht verhandelt, Trichinen und Bazillen werden auch nicht 'erzogen', sie werden so rasch und so gründlich wie möglich unschädlich gemacht." S. 339.
