You rob from under our feet Our German fatherland: Is that your suffering? that your knowledge? The edge of your open grave? O Israel, turned from God, You have made yourself a god And are, instructed by this god, Intent on usury, lies, and deceit. O Israel, von Gott gekehret, Hast du dich ſelbst zum Gott gemacht Und bist, durch dieſen Gott belehret, Auf Wucher, Lug und Trug bedacht.
