that for themselves they know no other justification for their existence to cite than their bipedalism, and that with the reference to this zoological characteristic they consider their dishonest actions excused.
9) Do the Jews not lead an exemplary family life?
That is true in a certain respect, but the benefit of this exemplary nature does not come to us, but only to the Jews themselves.
We are far from finding all the qualities of the Jews reprehensible; on the contrary, we admit that our people could learn from them in some respects. In general, however, the good qualities of the Jews are only such that bring benefit to themselves. The Jew rarely has virtues that have an external effect to show.
The much-praised "exemplary family life" of the Jews is explained by the following circumstances:
1 ) The hostile attitude towards the humanity surrounding him and the resulting animosity from the outside force the Jew to seek all the closer connection among his relatives. He requires "inner unity" in the family for more successful hostility towards the outside.
