A heroic band of the white race penetrated an undeveloped aboriginal population, organized them, taught them agriculture, crafts, and all sorts of arts, and under their white rule, those cultures developed whose remnants still excite our admiration today.
As in the Inca Empire, the culture-bringing ruling dynasty was ascribed divine descent. Among almost all ancient peoples is found the legend of white, shining (light-colored, blond) heroic figures who had come from "heaven" and brought custom and culture to Earth. (Cf. the Krishna legend of the Indians. Krishna does not mean, as linguists mostly believe today, the "Black One," but — as is evident from all other attributes — the White One, the Light-born; the Krishna- children were considered to be begotten by the sun and sons of gods.)
It seems indubitable that those ancient cultural pioneers in all lands of antiquity belonged to the Aryan (Indo-Germanic) race and that the Aryan element may be considered the actual bearer of culture at all times — an assumption that is only confirmed by the observations of the present. Count Gobineau says outright: "Culture is found only where Germanic elements have penetrated." — Even the culture of the Chinese may be traceable to an Aryan origin. Wie im Inka-Reiche, wurde dem culturbnngenden Herrscher-Geschlecht göttliche Abkunft zugeschneben. Fast bei allen alten Völkem findet ſich die Sage von weißen, leuchtenden (hellfarbigen, blonden) Heldengestalten, die vom „Himmel“ gekommen ſeien und Sitte und Cultur auf Erden gebracht hätten. (Vergl. die Knschna-Sage der Inder. Knschna bedeutet nicht, wie die Sprachlehrer heute meist glauben, der „Schwarze“, ſondem — wie aus allen anderen Attnbuten hervorgeht — der Weiße, der Lichtgeborene; die KnschnaKinder galten als Sonnen-Gezeugte und Götterſöhne.) Unzweifelhaft scheint es, daß jene uralten CulturPioniere in allen Ländem des Alterthums der anschen (indogermanischen) Raſſe angehörten und daß das ansche Element als der eigentliche Culturträger zu allen Zeiten gelten darf — eine Annahme, die durch die Beobachtungen der Gegenwart nur bestätigt wird. Graf Gobineau ſagt geradezu: „Cultur findet ſich nur, wo germanische Elemente hingedrungen ſind.“ — Selbst die Cultur der Chineſen dürfte auf anschen Ursprung zurückzuführen ſein.
