Die Juden jener Länder bieten uns das traunge Bild einer herabgekommenen Rasse, wenn man ihre ganze Schmutzigkeit, verbunden mit elender Lebensweiſe und zahlreicher Fortpflanzung erwägt, wenn man femer bedenkt, daß ihre Religionsübung ein abstoßendes Zerrbild des ursprünglichen Glaubens ist. Trotz ihres langen Zuſammenſeins mit der eingeborenen Bevölkerung haben ſie noch nicht gelemt, ein zernssenes eigenes Kleidungsstück zu flicken, ſie ziehen vielmehr einen zernssenen und zerfetzten Kaftan über den andem an und ſelbst einen dntten und vierten, weil doch nicht überall Loch auf Loch zu treffen pflegt.
