The following sentence teaches how far this school can potentiate the Germanic racial self-consciousness: "From purely morphological and physiological considerations alone, one must come to the justified conclusion that the tall and large-skulled man with frontal dolichocephaly and light pigmentation, thus the Northern European race, represents the most perfect representative of the human race and the highest product of organic evolution," since, according to the "psychophysical" fundamental law, the nobility of form, i.e., the highest perfection of physical structure, necessarily corresponds to the finest organization of the brain. The Nordic race is on average the largest and strongest. With a strong and large physique, it combines the most beautiful proportion of limbs, whose regularity is said to be based in the "golden ratio" and which represents the most expedient distribution of organic masses. From the investigations of Stratz on the racial beauty of the female, it emerges that the most beautiful proportions are found among blondes. While the Mediterranean race has a similar limb structure, it lacks the size and strength of the Nordic people; it also lacks the fair skin and the blond hair, and a strong general pigmentation leads to an extraordinary consumption of metabolic energy, whereas this, in the light-colored races, benefits the disposition and power development of the nervous system. 25 Zivilisation erreicht hat, was man von Mongolen und Mittel- ländem keineswegs sagen kann. — — — — — „Wanderungen und Eroberungen haben die Rassen durch- einander gewürfelt, aber innerhalb der sozialen Verbände haben sie sich nach ihren natürlichen Anlagen wieder gesondert und übereinander geschichtet.“* Wie weit diese Schule das germanische Rassen-Selbst- bewußtsein potenzieren kann, lehrt folgender Satz: „Schon aus rein morphologischen und physiologischen Er- wägungen muß man zu dem berechtigten Schluß kommen, daß der großgewachsene und großschädliche Mensch mit frontaler Dolichocephalie und heller Pigmentierung, also die nordeuro- päische Rasse, den vollkommensten Repräsentanten des Men- schengeschlechtes und das höchste Produkt der organischen Ent- wicklung darstellt“, da dem Adel der Gestalt, d. h. der höchsten Vollendung der Körperbildung nach dem „psychophysischen“ Grundgesetz notwendigermaßen auch die feinste Organisation des Gehims entspreche. Die nordische Rasse ist die durchschnitt- lich größte und kräftigste. Mit kräftigem und großem Körper- bau verbindet sie die schönste Proportion der Glieder, deren Gesetzmäßigkeit im „goldenen Schnitt“ begründet sei und die zweckmäßigste Verteilung der organischen Massen darstelle. Aus den Untersuchungen von Stratz über die Rassenschönheit des Weibes gehe hervor, daß die schönsten Proportionen bei den Blonden gefunden werden. Zwar habe die mittelländische Rasse einen ähnlichen Gliederbau, aber ihr fehle die Größe und Kraft der nordischen Menschen; ihr fehle auch die helle Haut und das blonde Haar und eine starke allgemeine Pigmentierung führe einen außerordentlichen Stoffverbrauch herbei, während dieser bei den lichten Rassen der Anlage und Kraftentfaltung des Nervensystems zugute komme. Außer diesem zweckmäßigeren * Woltmann weist ebenso wie Chamberlain darauf hin, daß das jüdische Volk aus verschiedenen Rassenschichten zusammengesetzt sei und daß es wahrscheinlich ein bestimmter (der amonsche, germanische) Rassen- anteil gewesen ist, der die jüdische Geisteskultur geschaffen habe. Es liege auch die Hypothese nahe, daß die Phönizier, Babylonier und Assyrer eine ähnliche Rassenzusammensetzung wie die Juden hatten.
