368 and positions are being dispossessed. The immense proletarian masses of such dispossessed Jews, both those drifting back and forth today and those who are settled, speak an eloquent language.
In the national economic literature of the present, the peoples among whom the Jew lives nevertheless call themselves his "host peoples." The expression "host people" comes from the imagery of parasitism. "Parasites" is what one calls plants that take nutrients from the plants or animals on which they live parasitically, without providing them any advantages in return.
Regarding the Jew, however, the matter is such that he inaugurates the prosperity of the country with the introduction of trade and industry; but that, once prosperity has entered the country, he must then make way for the native. If one may still call the former the "parasite" and the latter the "host," then this nomenclature is justified.

368 stellungen depoſſediert werden. Die ungeheuren heute ſowohl hin und her flutenden als auch bodenständigen Proletanermaſſen ſolcher depoſſedierter Juden reden eine beredte Sprache. In der nationalökonomischen Literatur der Gegenwart nennen ſich gleichwohl die Völker, unter denen der Jude lebt, ſeine „Wirtſvölker“. Der Ausdruck „Wirtſvolk“ stamm t aus dem Bilde des Paraſitentums. „Paraſiten“ nennt man Gewächſe, welche den Pflanzen oder Tieren, auf denen sie schmarotzen, die Nährstoffe entnehmen, ohne denſelben irgendwelche Vorteile zu gewähren. Bezüglich des Juden stellt ſich aber die Sache ſo, daß er mit Einführung von Handel und Industne die Wohlfahrt des Landes inaugunert; daß er aber, wenn die Wohlfahrt einmal ins Land gezogen ist, dann dem Einheimischen Platz machen muß. Wenn man da den ersteren noch den „Paraſiten“, den letzteren den „Wirt“ nennen darf, dann besteht dieſe Nomenklatur zu Recht.
