ultimate conclusion that it is the flower of humanity that today marches at the head of civilization, the cultural element since time immemorial, the most highly gifted, the noble race of the Teutons!
In the older science, one spoke of Aryans. This is what the scholars called the descendants of a fantasy people, which was said to have come from the interior of Asia. All possible peoples, from the Indians to the Britons, from the Greeks to the Norwegians, were lumped together under this one hat and declared a common race under the name "Aryans" or "Indo-Europeans." But the only thing common, as we know today, to these fundamentally different elements is a linguistic relationship; and this was regarded as the decisive link. — As if the Negroes in North America, who for generations have only spoken English, or the Mestizos in South America, who likewise only speak Spanish, must therefore be racially related to the English or Spanish!
This Aryan or Indo-European theory could not be maintained. Today, only the half-educated speak of Aryans, and "Aryan" science itself has declared the racial concept of "Aryan" a scientific error, a nonsense.
In its place, however, a new theory was born, the Teuton theory, whose most significant scientific representatives are Wilser and Woltmann, and whose best-known literary prophet is Chamberlain.
Not from the East—so says this new doctrine—came salvation, but from the North! Up there, where the Ice Age once severely oppressed a scattered people, this people developed in hardship and danger to a spiritual and physical height that is far ahead of all other human types today and naturally must necessarily be ahead. For in those primordial times, when all other peoples still led a dull, half-animal existence, those Nordics already achieved the highest peak of psychic talent and physical perfection.
They were tall, blond, and light-eyed and possessed a narrow, long skull shape — they were Teutons! 9

Weisheit letzten Schluß, dass es die Blüte der Menschheit ist, die heute an der Spitze der Zivilisation marschiert, das Kulturelement seit ewigen Zeiten, die höchstbegabte, die Edelraſſe der Germanen! In der älteren Wissensschaft sprach man von Anem. So nannten die Gelehrten die Abkömmlinge eines Phantaſie- volkes, das aus dem Innem Aſiens stammen sollte. Alle mög- lichen Völker, von den Indem bis zu den Bnten, von den Gnechen bis zu den Norwegem wurden unter dieſen einen Hut gesteckt und unter dem Namen „Aner“ oder „Indo- germanen“ als eine gemeinſame Raſſe erklärt. Gemein- ſames ist aber, wie man heute weiß, nichts an dieſen grund- verschiedenen Elementen als eine Sprachenver- wandschaft; und dieſe wurde als ausschlaggebendes Bindeglied angesehen. — Als ob die Neger in Nordamenka, die ſeit Generationen nur englisch, oder die Mestizen in Süd- amenka, die ebenſo nur spanisch sprechen, deshalb Raſſen- verwandte der Engländer oder Spanier ſein müssten! Dieſe Aner- oder Indogermanentheone konnte nicht aufrechterhalten werden. Heute reden nur mehr Halbge- bildete von Anem, und die „ansche“ Wissensschaft ſelbst hat den Raſſenbegnff „Aner“ für einen wissensschaftlichen Irr- tum, einen Unſinn erklärt. Dafür wurde aber eine neue Theone geboren, die Germanentheone, deren bedeutendste Wissensschaft- liche Vertreter Wilſer und Woltmann ſind, und deren be- kanntester literanscher Prophet Chamberlain ist. Nicht aus dem Osten — ſo ſagt dieſe neue Lehre — kam das Heil, ſondem aus dem Norden! Dort oben, wo die Eis- zeit einst ein versprengtes Volk arg bedrängte, hat ſich dieſes in Nöten und Gefahr zu einer geistigen und körper- lichen Höhe entwickelt, die allen andem Menschentypen heute weit voraus ist und natürlich notwendig voraus ſein muss. Denn in jenen Urzeiten, als alle andem Völker noch ein dumpfes Halbtierdaſein führten, erreichten jene Nordi- schen schon die höchste Höhe psychischer Begabung und phyſischer Vollendung. Sie waren groß, blond und helläugig und beſaſſen eine schmale, lange Schädelform — es waren Germanen! 9
