One, let us go up against Dan, Ephraim, and Judah, and at the head of the army, a united force. But not to transfer and not to conquer. But rather to build. To build as has been built since then. And greatness has ever been built by the power of the sword. Say now, behold, for several years you have served Dan. But the truth is, you were a prince for Judah. And a judge for Benjamin? And did not a son of the people cunningly snatch [women] for concubines and for quarrels between the sons of one father? This is the first time that I speak with you like this. Previously, I always heard from you only sharp words. And not just shouting, but I knew your thoughts, for rulers from birth understand one another without speech or words. Will you not dare to count all the tribes, even the distant ones across the Jordan and at the foot of the Hermon? And perhaps even those whose name they have not heard to this day?
Samson did not answer, but the lord knew his answer.
- There is no land or people, - added the lord, - that was ever created from a book of unity by the agreement of all. In Egypt, the great kingdoms were founded by the sword, and for the most part, by the sword they were destroyed. In ancient times, when we ruled the isles of the sea, Egyptians founded several states, small and large.
