daily life that Germany in its present form is the block against the internationalization of all peoples. Whether this internationalization finds its expression in a political leveling through a "League of Nations," thus in a "true" democracy, or in Bolshevism, or in Catholic (all-encompassing) Christianity, that remains the same in its ultimate effect: the ethno-nationalist principle, the inner unity of a state, must be lost in the process.
What the German person must do, as arises from this presentation of Judaism and its spiritual products, is simple: He first gains the knowledge that he is not dealing with an entity that is in itself hostile to the state, but with a world opinion that is Jewishly influenced in each of its parts and areas or, like Christianity, has originated from the Jewish spirit; a root that it has fought in this or that way now and then, but itself knows only too well that with the eradication of the root, the entire tree collapses. The fight against such an international mentality cannot be waged by individuals; it is the business and duty of the community, because in its ultimate effect it represents a political matter, which must be treated politically.
Only from the foundation of an all-encompassing German way of thinking can sovereignty be achieved and preserved in every form, which grants every German person his living space. The Jewish question is ultimately as much a racial as it is a legal, religious, political, economic, and cultural one. To want to designate and treat it as one or the other would only confirm the greatness and already achieved commonality of Jewry; we would be able to eliminate Jewry in one area for a certain time and feel its attack more clearly from the other side.
If we thus summarize the presentations of the Jewish spirit given in the "Handbook," we come to the conclusion:
Only the will of the German people for a community unshakably self-contained in its actions and thoughts, founded in the German soul-consciousness, can guarantee the overcoming of the multifaceted Jewish mentality.

täglichen Leben erkennen, daß Deutschland in ſeiner heutigen Form der Block gegen die Intemationalsierung aller Völker ist. Ob dieſe Intemationalsierung in einer staatspolitischen Gleichmachung durch einen „Völkerbund“ ihren Ausdruck findet, alſo in einer „wahrhaften“ Demokratie oder im Bolschewismus oder im katholischen (allumfaſſenden) Chnstentum, das bleibt ſich in ſeiner letzten Auswirkung gleich: das Völkische, die innere Einheit eines Staates muß dabei verloren gehen. Was für den deutschen Menschen zu tun ſich ergibt aus dieſer Darstellung des Judentums und ſeiner geistigen Erzeugniſſe, das ist einfach: Er gewinnt zuerst die Erkenntnis, daß er es nicht mit einem an ſich staatsfeindlichen Weſen zu tun hat, ſondem mit einer Weltmeinung, die in jedem ihrer Teile und Gebiete jüdisch beeinflußt ist oder, wie etwa das Chnstentum, aus jüdischem Geist entstammt ist; dieſe Wurzel zwar in dieſer und jener Art dann und wann bekämpft, aber ſelbst nur zu genau weiß, daß mit der Ausrottung der Wurzel der geſamte Baum niederstürzt. Der Kampf gegen eine ſolche intemationale Geistigkeit kann nicht von Einzelnen geführt werden; er ist Sache und Pflicht der Gemeinschaft, weil er in ſeiner letzten Auswirkung eine politische Angelegenheit darstellt, die eben politisch behandelt werden muß. Nur von der Grundlage eines allumfaſſenden deutschen Denkens her kann die Eigenstaatlichkeit in jeder Form erreicht und bewahrt werden, die jedem deutschen Menschen ſeinen Lebensraum zubilligt. Die Judenfrage ist in ihrem letzten ebenſo eine raſſische wie eine rechtliche, religiöſe, politische, wirthschaftliche und kulturelle. Sie als die eine oder die andere bezeichnen und behandeln wollen, würde nur die Größe und schon errungene Gemeinſamkeit des Judentums erhärten; wir würden das Judentum auf einem Gebiet für eine gewiſſe Zeit ausschalten können und ſeinen Angnff deutlicher von der anderen Seite her verspüren. Faſſen wir alſo abschließend die im „Handbuch“ gegebenen Darstellungen des jüdischen Geistes zuſammen, ſo kommen wir zu dem Ergebnis: Nur der Wille des deutschen Volkes zu einer im Tun und Denken unerschütterlich in ſich geschloſſenen, im deutschen Seelenbewußtſein begründeten Gemeinschaft kann die Überwindung der vielgestaltigen jüdischen Geistigkeit gewährleisten. „Wenn erwieſen ist, daß die niedere Raſſe die höhere verdirbt, ſo muß die höhere Reinlichkeitssinn und Unerbittlichkeit genug beſitzen, ſich die niedere vom Leibe zu halten.“ (Theodor Fntsch.) - 338 -
