investigate the real reasons for anti-Judaism! Non-Jewish members of the association had to stand up for the Jews everywhere and unconditionally; for special achievements in this field, the quickest political career was promised (e.g., Hermann Payer). In 1907, the association wrote: "Before the entire civilized world, the German anti-Semitic leaders already bear the brand of vileness on their back and forehead." Of course, the members were not allowed to read or even subscribe to anti-Jewish or wavering newspapers. Only the board had this right, in order to be able to register important events. The association recommended even then that advertisements be blocked from newspapers that were not friendly to Jews! The French, i.e., the Jews of France, liked the association so much that in 1902 they created a parallel organization. In gratitude, the celebrated chairman of the association, Gothein, demanded at the outbreak of the World War that, in the event of a victorious campaign, not one hand's breadth of soil should be taken from the French! In 1919, the association issued a proclamation that the German working class should not allow itself to be incited to hatred of Jews. After the National Socialist seizure of power, this association too was prevented from carrying out its subversive work.
Association of German Jews
The beginnings of its origin lie before 1900. The official founding took place in 1904 in Berlin "as a historically necessary response to the anti-Semitic movement of recent decades." Every two years, it held so-called Jew-Days to raise Jewish prestige. It represented the secular and religious interests of the Jews of Germany, i.e., it registered all alleged slights and insults that the Jews had to suffer for the sake of their "faith." It engaged in an almost pathological obsession with collecting all such "cases" in its office, piling them up as accusatory material for a wall of grievances, in order to make it available to the subservient press and ambitious parliamentarians at the right moment and to raise the cry: "Jews in distress." Since Jews are always in distress, the association has proven its right to exist. A specialty of the association were annual surveys among its racial comrades as to when, where, how, by what means, and by whom injustice had been done to the best subjects of the German Reich.
Association of National German Jews
A newer variant of collective Jewry, founded in January 1921. Its members, who wanted to remain Jews, had "always, in war and in peace, placed the welfare of the German fatherland and people, to which they feel inextricably linked, above their own welfare." In addition, the association declared German racial researchers to be blockheads: it was not blood that mattered, but the cultural community. The association then saw its special task in being "Adolf Hitler's most loyal opposition." The association can be regarded as the archetype of the Jewish Janus head, which wants to make wooden iron seem plausible. The "Association of National German Jews" has since been dissolved.
The Protocols of Zion

Nichtjüdische Mitglieder des Vereins mußten überall und unbedingt für die Juden eintreten; für besondere Leistungen auf diesem Gebiet wurde schnellste politische Karnere versprochen (z. B. Herm Payer). 1907 schneb der Verein: „Vor der ganzen Kulturwelt tragen die deutschen Antiſemitenführer bereits das Brandmal der Gemeinheit auf Rücken und Stim.“ Natürlich durften die Mitglieder weder antijüdische noch schwankende Zeitungen leſen oder gar halten. Das Recht hatte nur der Vorstand, um wichtige Vorgänge registneren zu können. Gegen nicht judenfreundliche Zeitungen wurde vom Verein schon damals Sperrung der Inſerate empfohlen! Den Franzoſen, d.h. den Juden Frankreichs, gefiel der Verein ſo ſehr, daß ſie 1902 eine Parallelgründung schufen. Zum Dank dafür forderte der rühnge Vorſitzende des Vereins, Gothein, beim Ausbruch des Weltkneges, daß bei einem ſiegreichen Feldzug keine Handbreit Boden den Franzoſen genommen werden dürfe! 1919 erließ der Verein einen Aufruf, daß ſich die deutsche Arbeiterschaft nicht zum Judenhass aufreizen laſſen ſolle. Nach der nationalſozialistischen Machtergreifung ist auch dieſem Verein die Zerſetzungsarbeit unmöglich gemacht worden. **Verein der deutschen Juden** Die Anfänge ſeiner Entstehung liegen noch vor 1900. Die offizielle Gründung erfolgte 1904 in Berlin „als geschichtlich notwendige Antwort auf die antiſemitische Bewegung der letzten Jahrzehnte“. Alle zwei Jahre hielt er zur Hebung des jüdischen Prestiges ſogenannte Judentage ab. Er vertrat die weltlichen und religiöſen Intereſſen der Juden Deutschlands, d.h. er registnerte alle angeblichen Zurückſetzungen und Kränkungen, die die Juden um ihres „Glaubens“ willen erleiden mußten. Er betätigte eine fast krankhafte Sammelwut, alle derartigen „Fälle“ in ſeinem Büro als Anklagematenal zu einer Klaſſenmauer aufzustapeln, um es bei Gelegenheit der höngen Preſſe und ehrgeizigen Parlamentanem zugänglich zu machen und das Geschrei zu erheben: „Juden in Not“. Da Juden immer in Not ſind, hat der Verein ſeine Existenzberechtigung erwieſen. Eine Spezialität des Vereins waren jährliche Umfragen bei ſeinen Raſſegenoſſen, wann, wo, wie, wodurch, durch wen den besten Untertanen des deutschen Reiches Unrecht geschehen ſei. **Verband nationaldeutscher Juden** Eine neuere Spielart des Geſamtjudentums, im Januar 1921 gegründet. Seine Mitglieder, die Juden bleiben wollten, hatten „stets im Knege und Fneden das Wohl des deutschen Vaterlandes und Volkes, dem ſie ſich unlösbar verbunden fühlen, über das eigene Wohl gestellt“. Nebenbei erklärte der Verband die deutschen Raſſeſorscher für Dummköpfe: es komme nicht auf das Blut, ſondem auf die Kulturgemeinschaft an. Seine beſondere Aufgabe erblickte der Verein dann, „Adolf Hitlers allergetreueste Oppoſition“ zu ſein. Der Verband kann als der Typus des jüdischen Januskopfes gelten, der hölzemes Eiſen glaubhaft machen will. Der „Verband nationaldeutscher Juden“ ist inzwischen aufgelöst worden. **Die Protokolle Zions** Die Protokolle enthalten das Programm der intemationalen jüdischen Geheimregierung, der Weisen von Zion. Nach jüdischer Auffaſſung ſind die Protokolle geeignet, „zur Begehung von Verbrechen anzureizen, die Sittlichkeit zu gefährden, das Schamgefühl gröblich zu - 101 -
