The Fortune of the House of Rothschild.
Dr. Rud. Meyer calculates the growth of the Rothschild capital as follows:
"The Parisian Rothschild died in 1875 and left 1000 million francs. One may therefore estimate the fortune of the entire house at 5000 million francs. The Rothschilds now make more than 5 percent interest. Let us assume, however, that this surplus goes toward their maintenance and that their capital only doubles every 15 years. One is justified in this assumption, because it has doubled faster than that since the founding of the house. For if it had only doubled every 15 years, it would have amounted to: 1875 - 5000 million francs, 1860 - 2500 " " 1845 - 1250 " " 1830 - 625 " " 1815 - 312 " " 1800 - 156 " "
It is demonstrable, however, that the old Rothschild in the year 1800 had no fortune at all. One can therefore say here that, unless a remedy is created through anti-capitalist, truly national-economic laws – the Rothschild fortune will double every 15 years. Therefore, the question will be appropriate, how does the income of the rest of humanity relate to this? The Kingdom of Saxony is one of the richest and most prosperous countries in Germany. With 2¾ million inhabitants, the income assessed for income tax in 1875 amounted per capita to 459 francs, for 1877 only 430 francs. The five-percent income from the current fortune of the Rothschilds is therefore just as large as that of 581,400 Saxon citizens in the year 1877 was. Assuming the average income in all of Europe were constant Anti-Semite's Catechism.

- 305 - Das Vermögen des Hauses Rothschild. Dr. Rud. Meyer berechnet das Anwachsen des Rothschild'schen Kapitals folgendermaßen: „Der Panser Rothschild starb 1875 und hinterließ 1000 Millionen Franks. Man darf das Vermögen des Gesamthauses also auf 5000 Millionen Franks schätzen. Die Rothschild's machen nun mehr als 5 pCt. Zinsen. Rechnen wir indeß, daß dieſes Plus für ihren Unterhalt daraufgehe und ſich ihr Kapital nur aller 15 Jahre verdoppele. Man ist zu dieſer Annahme berechtigt, denn es hat ſich ſeit der Begründung des Hauſes bis jetzt schneller verdoppelt. Hätte es ſich nämlich nur alle 15 Jahre verdoppelt, ſo würde es betragen haben: 1875 - 5000 Millionen Franks, 1860 - 2500 " " 1845 - 1250 " " 1830 - 625 " " 1815 - 312 " " 1800 - 156 " " Nachweisbar aber hatte der alte Rothschild im Jahre 1800 überhaupt noch kein Vermögen. Man darf alſo hier ſagen, daß, wenn nicht durch antikapitalistische, wahrhaft volkswirthschaftliche Geſetze Remedur geschaffen wird – das Rothschild'sche Vermögen ſich aller 15 Jahre verdoppeln wird. Daher wird die Frage am Platze ſein, wie ſich das Einkommen der übngen Menschheit dazu verhält? Das Königreich Sachsen ist eines der reichsten und wohlhabendsten Länder Deutschlands. Bei 2³/₄ Millionen Einwohnem betrug im Jahre 1875 das zur Einkommensteuer eingeschätzte Einkommen pro Kopf 459 Franks, für 1877 nur 430 Franks. Das fünfprozentige Einkommen aus dem gegenwärtigen Vermögen der Rothschild's ist daher ebenſogroß, wie das von 581,400 ſächſischen Bürgem im Jahre 1877 war. Angenommen, das Durchschnitts-Einkommen betrüge in ganz Europa konstant Antiſemiten-Katechismus. 20
