"Judaism will make the world happy, redeem it. It is the nationality-acid-free, chemically pure, purely humane universal soul, which is scattered among the hundred small duodecimo-folk-souls, these mockeries born of filth and fire, of diplomatic tricks and cannon maws."
It has the task "to weld the fragmented nationalities together into a single great community, to breathe the soul of heightened humanity into crudeness — to charge against the saber with the check, against the barracks with the department store."
This struggle is "tragic because, due to the inequality of forces, it has had to be a martyr's struggle until now and will be for a long, long time to come. Inevitably, many noble Jews will bleed after their cosmopolitan King Jesus."

Es ist die nationalitäts-säurefreie, chemisch-reine, rein humane Universal-Seele, welche versprengt ist unter die hundert kleinen Duodez-Volksseelen, diese Spottgeburten von Dreck und Feuer, von Diplomaten-Kniffen und Kanonen-Schlünden.“ Es hat die Aufgabe, „die zersplitterten Nationalitäten zu einer einzigen großen Gemeinschaft zusammenzuschweißen, der Rohheit die Seele gesteigerten Menschthums einzuhauchen — gegen den Säbel mit dem Check, gegen die Kaseme mit dem Waaren-Magazin anzurennen.“ Dieser Kampf ist „tragisch, weil er wegen der Ungleichheit der Kräfte ein Martyrerkampf bisher sein mußte und noch lange, lange sein wird. Unumgänglich werden viele edle Juden ihrem kosmopolitischen Könige Jesus nachbluten.“ — „Dem Juden muß die Führung anheimfallen.“ „Hätten wir doppelt so viel Juden und halb so viel Soldaten, Prediger, Beamte, Gymnasial-Professoren, Zeitungs-Reptile, — dann könnte der deutsche Adler seine Schwingen entfalten zum Sonnenflug, während er jetzt nur kampfbe-
