Jesus (Yeshua) is called by less than flattering names in the rabbinic writings; he is sometimes called: the Cursed One, sometimes the Hanged One, the Fool, the Villain, the Son of the Unclean, the Son of the Adulteress, etc.
Christians and non-Jews in general are referred to in the Talmud as Goyim, Nochrim, and Akum; they are also called Edomites, Amalekites, or Canaanites. The Germans in particular are counted among the Canaanites, for Rabbi David Kimchi reports that the Canaanites fled from fear of Joshua and went to the land of Alemannia, i.e., Germany. Also the designations donkeys, pigs, dogs for non-Jews are not infrequent in the Talmud. Christian churches are called houses of fools, the baptismal water — whore's water, etc.

--- 189 --- Jesuſ (Jeschua) wird in den rabbinischen Schnften mit wenig schmeichelhaften Namen belegt; er heißt bald: der Verfluchte, bald der Gehenkte, der Narr, der Böſewicht, der Sohn der Unreinen, der Sohn des Rotheſ u. ſ. w. Die Chnsten und Nichtjuden überhaupt werden im Talmud mit Gojim, Nochnm und Akum bezeichnet; auch werden ſie Edomiter, Amalekiter oder Canaaniter genannt Zu den Canaanitem werden beſonders die Deutschen gezählt, denn der Rabbi David Kimchi benchtet, daß die Canaaniter aus Furcht vor Joſua geflohen und in das Land Alemannia, d. i. Deutschland, gegangen ſeien. Auch die Bezeichnungen Eſel, Schweine, Hunde für Nichtjuden ſind im Talmud nicht ſelten. Die chnstlichen Kirchen werden Narrenhäuſer, das Taufwaſſer — Hurenwaſſer genannt u. ſ. w.
