Such a catastrophe is imminent, for the indignation against the Judaization of society is all the more intense, as it cannot vent itself in the press without showing itself in the most abstruse doctrines, as it comes to light in ultramontane and generally reactionary papers.
We are so muzzled that we cannot even appeal to the human-ethical feeling of the Jews in the press. We are allowed to curse and make jokes about Rome. Ditto about Protestantism. Likewise against the government. For all that, we find hospitality in the Judaized press. The cause of humanity against abstract individualism — we are not allowed to champion.
The boorish Germanic indolence, the Germanic avarice, the Germanic, comfortable, Teutonic hollow pomposity is to blame for the fact that it has come so far that the nimble, clever Israel has to decide what one should say and what not.
I beg you, do not scold the Jews! You elect the foreign rulers into your parliaments. You make them into legislators and judges. You make them dictators of the state financial systems. You have handed the press over to them because you find more taste in dazzling frivolity than in moral seriousness, — what is it you actually want? The Jewish people capitalizes on its talents and you are defeated, as is quite in order and as you have deserved it a thousand times over.
Do not speak either of how "the Jews spoil the prices" in business. They take possession of the large-scale industrial, fraudulent overproduction, sell "at giveaway prices," make money, and "practice usury" with the money. Is that not also "quite in order" and in accordance with the dogmas of "abstract individualism" that you have enthusiastically adopted from Judaism? —

Eine solche Katastrophe steht bevor, denn der In- gnmm gegen die Verjudung der Gesellschaft ist um so in- tensiver, als er in der Presse sich nicht Luft machen kann, ohne dass er den obstrusesten Glaubenslehren, wie er in ultramontanen und überhaupt reactionären Blättem zu Tage tntt, zeigt. Wir sind **so mundtodt** gemacht, dass wir in der Presse nicht einmal an das menschlich-ethische Ge- fühl der Juden appelliren können. Ueber **Rom** dürfen wir schimpfen und Witze reissen. Ueber den Protestantismus dito. Gegen die Regierung ebenfalls. Zu dem Allen finden wir Hospitalität in der verjudeten Presse. Die Sache der Humanität gegen den abstracten Individualismus — dürfen wir nicht führen. Die bärenhäutige germanische Indolenz, der ger- manische Geiz, der germanische, bequeme, teutonische Phrasenhohlmuth ist Schuld daran, dass es so weit gekom- men ist, dass das flinke, kluge Israel zu entscheiden hat, was man reden soll und was nicht. Ich bitte Euch, scheltet mir die Juden nicht! Ihr wählt die Fremdherrschaften in Eure Parlamente. Ihr macht sie zu Gesetzgebem und Richtem. Ihr macht sie zu Diktatoren der Staatsfinanzsysteme. Ihr habt ihnen die Presse überant- wortet, weil Ihr mehr Geschmack an der blendenden Fnvo- lität findet, als am sittlichen Emst, — was wollt Ihr denn eigentlich? Das jüdische Volk wuchert mit seinen Talenten und Ihr seid geschlagen, wie das ganz in der Ordnung ist und wie Ihr es tausendfach verdient habt. Redet auch nicht davon, dass «die Juden die Preise verderben» im Geschäft. Sie bemächtigen sich der gross- industnellen, schwindelhaften Ueberproduction, ver- kaufen «zu Schleuderpreisen», machen sich Geld und «wuchem» mit dem Gelde. Ist denn das nicht auch «ganz in der Ordnung» und den Dogmen des «abstracten In- dividualismus», die Ihr begeistert vom Judenthum angenommen habt, entsprechend? — Wir sind so festgefahren in der Verjudung, dass uns nichts mehr retten kann und dass eine brutale antijüdische Explosion den Zusammenfall der verjudeten Gesellschaft nur verzögert, nicht aber hindert.
