8 only for the Jewish question, but for all of European politics and even beyond, indeed has become the starting point for the entire race question in general, we want for this reason to concern ourselves with it in the most thorough racial-physiological and cultural-historical manner.
The endeavor to clarify these circumstances is provoked by the thesis, coming from this side, of the inferiority of all non-Germanic peoples in general and of the Jews specifically. Above all, however, it is the pursuit of scientific truth that compels us to reduce some of the historical lies that promote this Germano-mania to their true measure.
The doctrine of race is considered the most poisonous element of international life, in that it incites race against race, tribe against tribe, people against people: The whites against blacks and yellows, the Germans against Latins and Slavs, the German against the Pole, and everywhere the Aryan against the Semite. The course of our investigations should show that we, without — like most opponents of the theories to be discussed — negating the history-shaping power of the racial factor and regarding it as a quantité négligeable, can nevertheless arrive at a satisfactory assessment of these problems.

8 nur für die Judenfrage, ſondem für die ganze europäische Poli- tik und noch darüber hinaus maßgebend geworden ist, ja der Ausgangspunkt geworden ist für die ganze Raſſenfrage überhaupt, wollen wir uns aus dieſem Grunde raſſenphyſiologisch und kulturhistonsch auf das allereinge- hendste befaſſen. Das Streben nach Klarlegung dieſer Verhältniſſe wird durch die von dieſer Seite erfolgte Theſe von der Infenontät aller nichtgermanischen Völker überhaupt und der der Juden speziell, provoziert. Vor allem aber ist es das Streben nach wis- ſenschaftlicher Wahrheit, das uns zwingt, manche der dieſe Germanomanie fördemden Geschichtslügen auf ihr Wahrheits- maß zu reduzieren. Die Raſſenlehre gilt als das vergiftenste Moment des inter- nationalen Lebens, indem ſie Raſſe gegen Raſſe, Stamm gegen Stamm, Volk gegen Volk hetze: Die Weißen gegen Schwarze und Gelbe, die Germanen gegen Lateiner und Slawen, den Deutschen gegen den Polen und überall den Aner gegen den Semiten. Der Verlauf unſerer Unterſuchungen dürfte zeigen, daß wir ohne — wie die meisten Gegner der zu behandelnden Theonen — die geschichtsbildende Kraft des Raſſenfaktors zu negieren und als quantité negligéable zu betrachten, doch zu einer befnedigenden Beurteilung dieſer Probleme gelangen können.
