Learn the Italian language thoroughly.

Do not put yourselves in the position of a destitute person seeking support from the citizens of the state. If you do not have enough money, it is better that you leave the school: for the honor of our people is more important than your career.

Learn to speak in a low voice, both in class, in a gathering of friends, and inside your room: lest you disturb the peace of the city's residents. Likewise, in the schoolyards or in the city streets, walk in twos and not in threes: lest you block the way for the city's residents.

Physical cleanliness and the splendor of clothes shall be a law for you at every single moment. Every morning you shall shave; whoever does not wash also sins against the soul and against the studies; every morning check your clothes and sew any tear; every hour look to see if your fingernails are clean. When you wash your face, the ears, the hands, the whole body - remember that every stain is a stain upon Betar and a stain upon Israel.

Perform the school's work diligently - and do not boast of your progress, and help your Italian comrades in whatever way you can.

Do not get involved in any partisan debate concerning Italy: do not express an opinion on any Italian political matter: do not criticize the existing order in Italy, the same order under whose protection you were given the ability to study in this school; do not even present such an explanation. If you are asked about your national and social creed, you shall answer: "I am a foreigner, and my aspiration is a Hebrew state in our land. We are opposed to the class war, and extend our goodwill to every nation."

We are entrusting into your hands the honor of Betar on a very important occasion, and I am certain that you will know how to guard it on a difficult day.
