The dark and painful times of persecution and humiliation, which the people of Israel have borne with heroic patience, are fortunately over for us. Thanks to the progress of civilization among the Christians, and this progress is the surest shield behind which we can hide in order to work away relentlessly, to traverse with swift feet the space that separates us from our sublime goal.
Let us just take a look at the material situation of Europe and analyze the resources that the Israelites have opened up for themselves since the beginning of this century solely by uniting in their hands those immeasurable amounts of capital which they now command . . . thus in Paris, London, Vienna, Berlin, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Rome, Naples &c.
Everywhere the Rothschilds, the Israelites, are the masters of the financial situation through the possession of billions, not to mention that in every second and third-rate place, they are again the holders of the current funds and that everywhere, without the children of Israel, without their direct influence, no financial operation, no work of importance can be carried out.
Nowadays all emperors and kings and ruling princes are overloaded with debts which they have contracted for the maintenance of their standing armies, which support their shaky thrones.
The stock exchange quotes and regulates these debts, and we are for the most part the masters of these exchanges in all places. We must therefore strive to facilitate this indebtedness more and more, in order to elevate ourselves to the position of directors of values, and must as much as possible take as collateral for the capital we lend to the countries the exploitation of their railways, their mines, their forests, their ironworks and factories, and even their taxes.
Agriculture will always be the greatest wealth of every country. The possession of large landed properties will always procure honor and influence for their owners. 25*)

- 387 - Die düsteren und schmerzreichen Zeiten der Verfolgungen und Demüthigungen, die das Volk Jsrael mit heroischer Geduld ertragen hat, ſind glücklicherweiſe für uns vorüber. Dank dem Fortschntte der Civiſation bei den Chnsten, und dieſer Fortschntt ist der ſicherste Schild, hinter welchem wir uns verbergen können, um unentwegt loszuarbeiten, eiligen Fußes den Raum zu durchschreiten, der uns von unſerem erhabenen Ziele trennt. Werfen wir nur einen Blick auf die matenelle Lage Europas und analyſiren wir die Quellen, die ſich die Jsraeliten ſeit Beginn dieſes Jahrhunderts nur allein dadurch eröffnet haben, daß ſie in ihren Händen jene unermeßlichen Kapitalien vereinigten, über die ſie jetzt verfügen . . . ſo in Pans, London, Wien, Berlin, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Rom, Neapel &c. Ueberall find die Rothschild's, die Jsraeliten durch den Beſitz der Milliarden die Herren der Finanz-Lage, ohne zu rechnen, daß in jedem Plaße 2. und 3. Ranges wieder ſie die Inhaber der gangbaren Fonds ſind und daß überall ohne die Kinder Jsraels, ohne deren unmittelbaren Einfluß keine FinanzOperation, keine Arbeit von Bedeutung durchgeführt werden kann. Heutzutage find alle Kaiſer und Könige und regierenden Fürsten mit Schulden überladen, welche ſie für die Erhaltung ihrer stehenden Heere contrahirt haben, welche ihnen ihre schwankenden Throne stützen. Die Börſe notirt und regulirt dieſe Schulden, und wir ſind zum größten Theile die Herren dieſer Börſen auf allen Pläßen. Wir müſſen daher trachten, dieſe Verschuldung immer mehr zu erleichtem, um uns zu den Lenkem der Werthe zu erheben, und müſſen ſo viel als möglich für die Kapitalien, die wir den Ländem borgen, die Ausbeutung ihrer Eiſenbahnen, ihrer Bergwerke, ihrer Wälder, ihrer Hüttenwerke und Fabnken, ja ſelbst ihrer Abgaben als Unterpfand nehmen. Die Landwirthschaft wird immer der größte Reichthum jedes Landes ſein. Der Beſitz von großen Liegenschaften wird den Inhabem derſelben stets Ehre und Einfluß verschaffen. 25*
