Through their newspapers, they promote moral decay by entertaining the people with all sorts of "piquant" scandal and crime stories and thereby seeking to deaden their moral consciousness. Through the Semitic sentiment spreading in the press, they poison the way of thinking of our people and push the entire public life down to a low intellectual level, by cultivating the most vulgar taste in art, literature, theater, etc., and flattering the basest passions.

With the help of the press, through the stock market swindle of the 1870s, they extracted thousands of millions from the people, thereby destroying many livelihoods and bringing such enormous assets into their hands that they can exert the most immense pressure on all conditions. The firms and persons active on the stock exchanges during the period of the "Gründerzeit" swindle were 9 tenths Jewish! — (Cf.
