made arable and cultivated through centuries of diligence or fought for with superior martial strength and thus purchased with blood. — The Jews have acquired the right of homeland in our country by neither the one nor the other method. They have taken no part in the cultural work of the people and just as little in the bloody battles that our forefathers had to endure for altar and hearth.
The equal rights that the Jews possess today are a gift of grace that was given to them in the year 1848. So far, however, they have not proven themselves worthy of it, for they still form a separate community today—politically, socially, and in business—which seeks its advantage at the expense of the other citizens. 6) Are the Jews not just as good Germans as we are?
They like to act as if they were, but—they do not believe it themselves! There are numerous statements from influential Jewish men that provide proof that the Jews still consider themselves a separate nationality today and do not wish to be absorbed into other nations. Their arrogance alone does not permit this, as they have, after all, given themselves the name of the "chosen people". (Cf. page 217.)

— 6 — durch Jahrhunderte langen Fleiß urbar machte und cultivirte oder durch überlegene knegensche Kraft erkämpfte und so mit dem Blute erkaufte. — Die Juden haben weder durch die eine noch durch die andere Art das Heimaths-Recht in unserem Lande erworben. Sie haben keinen Theil an der CulturArbeit des Volkes genommen und ebenso wenig an den blutigen Kämpfen, die unsere Vorfahren für Altar und Herd bestehen mußten. Die Gleichberechtigung, die die Juden heute besitzen, ist ein Gnaden-Geschenk, das man ihnen im Jahre 1848 gemacht hat. Bisher haben sie sich aber desselben nicht würdig erwiesen, denn sie bilden noch heute politisch, gesellschaftlich und geschäftlich eine Sonder-Gemeinde, die ihren Vortheil auf Kosten der anderen Staatsbürger sucht. (Vergl. S. 52.) 6) Sind die Juden nicht ebenso gut Deutsche wie wir? Sie stellen sich gem so, als ob sie es wären, aber — sie glauben es selber nicht! Es liegen zahlreiche Aeußerungen von maßgebenden jüdischen Männem vor, die den Beweis erbnngen, daß die Juden noch heute sich als eine besondere Nationalität betrachten und nicht in den anderen Nationen aufgehen mögen. Das duldet schon ihr Hochmuth nicht, da sie sich ja den Namen des „auserwählten Volkes“ beigelegt haben. (Vergl. Seite 217.)
